Agro Eco Veda, represented by its Director, Mr. Valeriy Vaynblat, and Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), led by President Virgilio Julius P. Manzano, Jr., renewed partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during an online ceremonial signing held on January 13 at the FEM Hall Conference Hall.

The MoU, first forged in 2021, aims to continue developing and implementing joint projects in the fields of agriculture and ecology, with a strong emphasis on addressing regional challenges through the active involvement of students and postgraduate learners in agriculture and environmental disciplines.

Under the agreement, the collaboration will focus on key priority areas, including agriculture and livestock development, environmental protection, afforestation and forest nursery establishment, and education. These initiatives are designed to benefit students, faculty members, alumni, and the wider community. Specific programs outlined in the MoU include sanitation and environmental health projects, identification of epidemiological risks, wastewater treatment initiatives, development of landscape monitoring systems, advancement of technologies aligned with the circular economy concept, and project-oriented training for agriculture and environmental students and postgraduates.

Said partnership has been instrumental in pursuing collaborative efforts in agriculture and ecology. Through this tie-up, MMSU has joined various international activities, including last year’s youth competition-workshop on applied environmental projects, where the MMSU team bagged the championship.

President Manzano pointed out the importance of the partnership in advancing the mission of the university on sustainable development and community engagement. “This collaboration reflects our vision of creating science-based, socially responsive solutions that address real-world agricultural and environmental challenges. By engaging our students and faculty in international, project-driven initiatives, we are strengthening both academic excellence and community impact,” he said.

Mr. Konstantin Romanenko of AEV stressed the organization’s mission to promote sustainable agriculture in countries across the region in order to improve people’s quality of life. “MMSU has shown a strong record and solid reputation since we forged our first partnership. The renewal of our MoU reflects our full trust in MMSU, especially in advancing our shared vision of elevating the agriculture sector,” he said.

Meanwhile, College of Agriculture, Food, and Sustainable Development (CAFSD) dean Charlie Batin expressed his gratitude to AEV for its programs that value practical education and environmental responsibility by creating meaningful projects that contribute to sustainable agriculture, ecological preservation, and the professional growth of young specialists.

Agro Eco Veda operates through the Agro-Eco Veda Club, a non-profit organization that connects agricultural and ecological specialists to promote sustainable agriculture and environmental solutions through collaborative research, education, and innovation. With members from across the Asia-Pacific region, the club organizes international workshops and forums that provide platforms for young professionals to develop projects and exchange knowledge on critical issues such as land use management, waste reduction, and resource efficiency.
