DESCRIPTION:The 2nd ASEAN-Russian Federation Senior Officials’ Meeting on Agriculture (ARSOMA-2) was held in Singapore. The Meeting noted that the ASEAN-Russia Joint Cooperation Committee had approved two joint projects in agriculture field, namely: “Research and Development Cooperation Russia-ASEAN on Development and Implementation of Innovative Agricultural Technologies to Increase Sustainability of Agro-Ecological Systems”; and “Development of Expert Systems based on Large-Scale Soil-Geographic Databases”. These projects were initiated by the Moscow State University in collaboration with the Udayana University in Bali (Indonesia).
