Dr. Charlie Bumanglag Batin is a licensed Professional Forester and serves as Associate Professor V and Dean of the College of Agriculture, Food and Sustainable Development at Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), Philippines. He holds a PhD and MS in Forestry from the University of the Philippines Los Baños, with specialization in silviculture and agroforestry. His work centers on agro-ecological approaches to bamboo-based systems, sustainable forest plantations, and community-driven natural resource management. Through research, extension, and policy-relevant initiatives, he promotes resilient landscapes, sustainable livelihoods, and nature-based solutions in the Philippines and abroad.
